(Thanks to Erbo and Eric the Fruit Bat for clarifying this. I just had no clue.)<\/li>\n<li>And while we&#8217;re identifying obscure pop culture icons and references, I&#8217;ve seen <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westword.com\/slideshow\/50-best-costumes-of-milehicon-43-35412704\/4\/\" target=\"_blank\">this guy<\/a> somewhere. Who\/what is he?<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.physorg.com\/news\/2011-10-nasa-atomic-clock.html\" target=\"_blank\">NASA&#8217;s new-technology space-based atomic clock<\/a> has eight pins, and relies on high vacuum. George O. Smith would approve. (Thanks to Larry Nelson for the pointer.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcworld.com\/article\/240939\/mechanical_keyboards_should_you_switch.html\" target=\"_blank\">Switch to a &#8220;mechanical keyboard&#8221;?<\/a> I never stopped using them to begin with. Modern &#8220;mush&#8221; keyboards were created solely to be cheap and are mostly useless. (I love it when I&#8217;m right&#8211;and thanks to Pete Albrecht for the link.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/environment\/interactive\/2011\/oct\/24\/how-big-worlds-population-born\" target=\"_blank\">How many people lived on Earth when you were born?<\/a> For me, it was 2,556,061,949.<\/li>\n<li>The 99c MP3 of the Month Award here goes to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Classic-Battle\/dp\/B00453VCEQ\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sam Spence for &#8220;Classic Battle,&#8221;<\/a> which was evidently commissioned by the NFL as incidental music for football games. Dayum. Why doesn&#8217;t baseball get music like that?<\/li>\n<li>Music, heh. Ever hear a piece of music that immediately made you head for the exits? <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Radetzky_March\" target=\"_blank\">Maybe that&#8217;s the whole idea<\/a>.
