So, in my contrarian fashion, I will present an Odd Lots composed entirely of&#8230;two-liners.<\/li>\n<li>Technical material (textbooks, manuals, computer books) rendered on an ebook reader? <a href=\"http:\/\/kno.com\/the-kno.html\">Now you&#8217;re talking<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>As someone fond of both astronomy (especially telescopes) and Star Wars, I consider this <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.makezine.com\/archive\/2010\/06\/thats_no_droid_its_an_astronomy_bui.html\">a wonderful building hack<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Harrison_Bergeron\">Harrison Bergeron<\/a> was evidently <a href=\"http:\/\/news.nationalpost.com\/2010\/06\/01\/win-a-soccer-game-by-more-than-five-points-and-you-lose-ottawa-league-says\/\">a Canadian kid soccer player<\/a>. (Thanks to Bob Trembley for the link.)<\/li>\n<li>What&#8217;s your favorite app for extracting text from PDFs? Any experience with ABBYY&#8217;s PDF Transformer?<\/li>\n<li>And if you&#8217;re going the other way, slow but sure pays off: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.downloadsquad.com\/2010\/06\/04\/pdfcreator-following-in-the-aged-footsteps-of-foobar-and-vlc-release-1.0\/\">PDFCreator has finally reached version 1.0<\/a>, after only seven years.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/code.google.com\/p\/sigil\/\">Sigil<\/a> is the only WYSIWIYG editor for EPUB-format ebooks. Why? When will we start editing ebooks and stop <em>coding<\/em> them?<\/li>\n<li>One of my cousins once had a sandbox in an enormous worn-out tractor tire.
